About Me

My name is Josh and I am a 25 year old Accountant at a Fortune 500 company in the Columbus, OH area.  I read my first personal finance book in college, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, and have been obsessed with the subject ever since, reading countless amounts of books on the subject.

I graduated college like most people, stuffed with debt.  After graduating in May of 2008, I had accumulated $4,000 of credit card debt, $34,000 of student loan debt, $14,000 of car loan debt and have since added a $5,000 loan debt from a family member.

My college experience was the epitome of average.  I went to an average school, got average grades, and didn’t have an spectacular experiences.  The line “if I can do it, anyone can do it” is used way too often.  But I think it applies to my situation.  If I can get a great job with a great salary and turn my finances around, anyone can.
